- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
Instructions
- Heat olive oil or butter in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté onions until translucent (about 5 minutes), then add minced garlic.
- Stir in diced carrots and celery; cook until tender (about another 5 minutes). Add chicken breasts and season with salt and pepper.
- Pour in chicken broth to cover all ingredients. Bring to a gentle boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for about 20-25 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
- For the dumplings, combine flour, baking powder, salt, milk, and melted butter in a separate bowl until just mixed.
