  • 24 oz frozen potato and cheese pierogi
  • 12 oz smoked kielbasa, sliced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Sauté onions in a skillet over medium heat until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  2. Layer half of the frozen pierogi in the crockpot, followed by half of the kielbasa slices, sautéed onion-garlic mixture, and half of the shredded cheese.
  3. Pour half of the chicken broth over the layers and repeat with remaining ingredients.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours until pierogi are tender.
  5. Stir in sour cream before serving and garnish with fresh chives.
