  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3 tbsp fresh rosemary (chopped)
  • 3 tbsp fresh thyme (chopped)
  • 3 tbsp fresh sage (chopped)
  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 4 cups cornbread stuffing mix
  • 3 cups sweet potatoes (cubed for candied yams)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 2 cups fresh green beans (trimmed)
  • ½ cup sliced almonds
  • 1 cup homemade cranberry sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Remove giblets from turkey, rinse, and pat dry.
  2. Rub softened butter over the turkey; tuck in herbs and season generously with salt and pepper.
  3. In a bowl, mix cornbread stuffing with chicken broth until moist; fold in sautéed onions and celery.
  4. Stuff the turkey cavity loosely with the stuffing.
  5. Roast the turkey breast-side up in a pan for about 13-15 minutes per pound or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. Sauté green beans with olive oil in a skillet until tender-crisp, about 5-7 minutes.
  7. Cook sweet potatoes on the stove with brown sugar and marshmallows until tender.
