Description

Brie Mac and Cheese is a comforting twist on a classic favorite, combining rich, creamy Brie and sharp cheddar for a mouthwatering dish that’s perfect for any occasion. This indulgent recipe creates a luscious cheese sauce that envelops al dente pasta, topped with a crispy panko crust for added texture. Whether you enjoy it on a cozy night in or serve it at a gathering, this dish will quickly become a staple in your kitchen.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 8 oz creamy Brie cheese (rind removed)
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the elbow macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Whisk in flour for about 1-2 minutes to form a roux.
  4. Gradually add milk while whisking to avoid lumps. Cook until slightly thickened (5-7 minutes).
  5. Reduce heat and stir in Brie and cheddar until melted and smooth.
  6. Combine the cooked pasta with the cheese sauce until well coated.
  7. Transfer to a greased baking dish, top with panko breadcrumbs, and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
