  • 3 lbs pork shoulder
  • 2 medium yellow onions, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Tortillas (optional)

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the pork shoulder and cut it into large chunks.
  2. Layer chopped onions and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  3. Place the pork on top; sprinkle with cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper. Pour orange juice over the meat.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until tender.
  5. Shred the pork using two forks; optionally broil for crispy edges.
