Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 sheets puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 egg (beaten for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion until soft, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook until golden.
  2. Stir in cinnamon, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper. Add diced chicken thighs and cook until browned on all sides, about 10 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat, let cool slightly, then mince the chicken mixture finely and mix in honey.
  4. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface; cut into squares or triangles.
  5. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each pastry piece. Fold to shape and seal edges tightly.
  6. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Brush each briouat with egg wash and arrange on lined baking sheets.
